Our History

Mario and Aurora Littore started our family's first vineyard in the rich earth overlooking the Murray River near Mildura. Named "Jindalee", this vineyard represented the beginning of a new world family tradition in grape growing.

Mario and Aurora's sons Vince and David Littore went on to create Jindalee Estate Wines, after purchasing the historic "Idyll" winery in the Moorabool Valley near Geelong. Expansion of the vineyards in Mildura coupled with the development of a state-of-the-art winery facility in Geelong led to a flourishing business. By 2007 Jindalee was exporting to 17 different countries around the globe...and counting.

A decade after the establishment of Jindalee Estate Wines, we embarked on a major winery expansion, increasing our storage capacity from 3 million litres to 13 million litres, and our crushing and winemaking facilities to manage 15,000 tonnes per annum.

At the same time we decided to re-brand our winery under the family name, and in 2008 we are celebrating the launch of our new identity - Littore Family Wines. This will enable us to expand our diverse range of premium wines under various new labels and to service new and existing markets in Australia and overseas.
